7 Days – Mount Kilimanjaro Rongai Route
Overview
The Rongai Route is the only trail that approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the northern side, near the Kenyan border. It is known for its gentle slope, quiet environment, and stunning wilderness scenery. This 7-day route is ideal for climbers who prefer a more remote and less crowded experience, while still maintaining a high success rate and excellent acclimatization.
You’ll trek through untouched forest, pass by the impressive Mawenzi Tarn, and cross the barren saddle before reaching the mighty Uhuru Peak (5,895m) the “Roof of Africa.”
